CASE- STUDIES Education

Having worked with most major hospitals in Singapore, we have had the opportunity to explore and create fringe solutions being used by doctors, nurses and patients on ground. From training & development applications for Nursing education to rehabilitation and anxiety management tools for patients.

Problem

Risk

In the Healthcare Industry more so than others, there is a very high risk involved in tasks performed by doctors and nurses. Especially in the training phase, the industry struggles to provide simulated training on patients while minimizing risk.

Complexity

The training material being studies by doctors and nurses has high degrees of complexity, often requiring immense visualisation skills. The traditional methods of learning through textbooks and slides is rather limiting in this aspect.

Cost

It is extremely expensive for doctors and nurses to conduct live trainings and tests, often limiting the amount of simulated exposure they can get.

Scalability

When attending to patients, Hospitals often raise concerns about the limited amount of manpower available. Hence, the limited amount of attention patients can get. The industry often looks for scalable solutions that can reduce the pressure on their nursing workforce.

Solutions

Safer Learning

Through highly realistic digitally simulated scenarios in VR, AR and Applied Games - doctors and nurses are able to train in a safe environment while increasing their exposure immensely. They can even learn at their own pace with repeated use of the digital applications.

Higher Engagement

Digital simulations also allow them to experience much higher levels of engagement and visualisation with highly flexible digital interactions. Given the high fidelity of the simulation, the need and cost for live training is also reduced

Assessment & Data Collection

One of the biggest advantages of using emerging tech solutions is the ability to Gamify the content into an assessment while collecting valuable data. This data is then processed and presented to the trainer in the form of a simplified dashboard, tracking the progress of each trainee.

Consistent Quality

The applications created for patient use offer scalability, especially when technology can reach patients at a large scale using simple mobile devices and deliver consistent quality of content - such as rehab games and anxiety management tools.
